BBC World Service + FT.Com
Hi all, going to be posting a bit this afternoon, but just quickly I was on the BBC World Service Newshour (MP3, 3mb) last night, facing off against Clifford May of the Foundation for Defense of Democracies, a Washington-based right wing think tank. I'm glad I hadn't read this biography before I went on or else I might have worked myself into a lather. I was a bit surprised that he didn't go after me or EAB a bit more, but I think he was expecting to confront a stereotypical "raving loony" and instead got a normal-sounding guy.
Also, FT.com has just posted a short article mentioning us.
PS I would have linked to the RealAudio file but I think it's already been taken down.
Brilliant posts.

Right on! Don't forget there are many of us still here in the US who are so totally fedup with this administration and what they are doing to this country. You have one thing going for you--you are not living here. I trust you are also conveying the message to folks in Europe Bush does not represent all Americans.

Good luck with the demonstration. So many of us here stateside share your views...he has taken us into the cauldron and there is plenty of fuel to keep the fire going for decades.Best wishes on getting the message across.

My dad called me up last night and asked if I was marching with the expats yesterday and I didn't know what he was talking about, then I saw you on Newsweek. Leading the march was an excellent statement. Very good of Stop The War to give you that chance. I (and many others) are glad you guys are here. I'm e-mailing all the other like minded expats I know about the site. Let me know if there is anything else I can do.

A big thank-you to Luke and Sara for organising such a sane and articulate response to Bush-Blair. As a long-time resident of the UK and one who, until yesterday, only knew one other American, I was buoyed by the presence of so many clear-headed compatriots and delighted to know that, with so many enlighted young people especially, perhaps the country of my birth is not a lost cause after all.
Thanks again and let me know if there is anything I can do.

Hiya Leslie,
Most of all, you can make sure to vote next November. We can all start registering after the first of the year, I believe. As I haven't voted absentee before (I've been here just over a year), it's all new to me, but I'm going to memorize the information so I can tell anyone who wants to know!
I was really happy by all the discussions going on during the march. Anyone who was there could plainly see that most people had well-thought-out opinions supported by facts, and weren't screaming at each other even if they disagreed.
