Well, LOL, it doesn't exactly paint a rosey picture well of him and while I should, probably, take issue with the image it is rather funny. Brought to mind the theme song of an old series that used to be on TV, do you remember?:

"Come 'n listen to my story 'bout a man named Jed
Poor Mountaineer barely kept his family fed An' then one day, he was shootin' at some food,
An' up thru the ground came a bubblin' crude.
Oil that is! Black gold! Texas tea!

Well, the first thing ya know, Ol' Jed's a millionaire Kin-folk said, "Jed, move away from there." Said Californy is the place y'oughta be, so they loaded up the truck, and they moved to Beverly. Hills that is! Swimmin' pools, Movie stars!

Ol' Jed bought a mansion. Lawdy it was swank
Next door neighbor was pres'dent of the bank,
Lotsa folks objected, but the banker found no fault, 'Cause ol' Jed's millions was a-layin' in the vault Cash, that is! Capital gains, Depletion money!

Well now it's time to say goodbye to Jed and all his kin An' they would like to thank you folks fer kindly droppin' in. You're all invited back again to this locality, T'have a heapin' helpin' of their hospitality. Hillbilly, that is! Set a spell, Take your shoes off!

Y'all come back, here!"

heh heh heh.... I wonder how many of you started singing or hummin the tune to that one, hmmmmm?
;o)

Y'all have a Happy Easter.....

once a chimp, always a chimp

That is a good rendition Chrish. Isn't there one about when yur shootin' at some food and ketchup pops up out of the ground and you get really really really really rich.
John Kerry. A man of the people. The really really rich who export jobs overseas.

Chrish

When you get A Name {no name} then I'll listen to what you have to say...

Chrish

Jim,

I have not doubt that the "Rich" Republicans and Democrats all have something to do with it. It's all the same political speech; say what they think the masses want to hear but, don't give any specific solutions.

Similar to this 9/11 Commission which, not surprisingly, has been turned into political games. They, the news media, the news pundits, and the Hate Bush crowd don't seem overly concerned about what went wrong AND How To Fix it
but, are more concerned with Who to blame and int their mind, no matter what, it's all Bush's fault. Interestingly enough there seems little, if any, comments, discussion, nor reports about WHAT Clinton did not do during his watch but, more about what Bush did not do during his first 8 months. It seems that any discussion regarding Clinton's do nothing posture is politely pushed aside or under the carpet as if to say "we don't want to talk about that.".

Yes, BushCo dropped the ball. So did the different intelligence agencies, so did ClintonCo. But it's obvious this is all about hating Bush no matter what and any possible bit of alleged evidence to justify that hatred will be used including this 9/11 Commission for nothing more than political gain.

What's sad about all this is that when the 9/11 Commission completes their investigation and produces their final report the ONLY thing that
they wil be asking is "where's the section that tells how it's all Bush's fault". They won't care about anything else, they won't care about recommendations on how to fix it, and they won't care what Clinton did not do they'll only care about where does it say it's all Bush's fault.

What will be of interest is the response if the 9/11 Commission doesn't lay complete blame on Bush but, on other's in the various intelligence agencies, or on previous administration's policies, with perhaps a little on Bush. If that should happen then watch the response... It will be most interesting and known...

I feel compelled to point out, once again, that the name of the site is "Expats AGAINST Bush" (emphasis mine). Why should anyone feel they should "probably take issue" with a less-than-flattering photograph of our fearless misLeader being posted here? You've come to the wrong place if you want an unbiased opinion. This is the truth, as people "against Bush" see it. Obviously we recognize this bias and try to back up statements with facts, evidence, articles, etc, but C'MON--if we can't show Bush looking like a moron for a laugh, well. . .that's pants, in my humble opinion.

Chrish

Sarah,

I did find it funny, and it did remind me of a Hillbilly, even included the theme song....

Are you saying you did not see the humor in that?
So sorry....

Sarah Forrester

If you found it humourous, why state that you "should probably take issue with it"? That was my point. And the hillbilly song was most appreciated.

Chrish

Well Sarah, probably because it puts him in a
bad light but, still I did have to laugh. At least gimme credit for that.

Hillbilly song.... Damn thing, I've had that
blasted song stuck in my mind for the past few days and then start chuckling because that image comes to mind.... Beverly Hillbillies indeed.

Chrish

Read the Richard Clarke book. Very interesting.

Chrish

I plan on it Heather but, it's getting out of hand here with all these bloody books coming out
now. I'm sure you've heard that Woodard or is that Woodward now has his book out.

Seems to me there are a number of people who are trying to capitalize on this year's elections. I
wonder who's next?

Sarah

Chrish, you "should probably take issue" with the picture of Bush because "it puts him in a bad light"? I refer you AGAIN to the name of this website! :-)
