Arafat "Clinically Dead"

According to Reuters:

Palestinian President Yasser Arafat was declared clinically dead on Thursday in a French hospital, Israeli television said citing French sources.

But Palestinian Prime Minister Ahmed Qurie denied the report, saying: "I have just spoken to the officials in Paris and they say the situation is still as it was. He is still in the intensive care unit."

We shall see. In any case his days of running things in Palestine seem to be over; perhaps this is what it will take to restart the peace efforts.

good riddance! now if Sharon could just get a heart attack...

JayReding.com says Yasser Arafat is a mass murderer. Funny how he doesn't make the same connection with Bush.

But.."they hate us for our freedoms"
Therefore we must kill all the women in children who happen to live in a 50 mile radius of Falujah or Bhagdad or Kabul

wait a second, losers! I never wrote that second post! Stop accusing me of writing things I never wrote!

Whatever may be said of Yasser Arafat good
or bad I still can't help but feel sadness
in his passing. Whatever he may have done,
right or wrong he was struggling for his
people. Yeah, I know all the arguements,
the things he did, accused of doing, alleged
to have done nevertheless I still feel sorrow over his passing and pray for the
man's soul and for his people.

Yasser Arafat has passed into history now
hopefully, his passing will result in a real
effort at achieving peace between both the Israelis and the Palestinian people.
